Episode 19: David Smeltz (godfather of Cleveland reggae)
David Smeltz founded I-Tal in Cleveland, Ohio in 1978. They were the first ever reggae band in the Midwest and possibly America. They turned the Midwest on to reggae and made Cleveland a reggae town. David wrote the book Clean: From Reggae to Recovery and started Clean House, Inc., a sober living facility and nonprofit to help his community.
